I think it was the one where one had to be in the front with the back to us and then a row of children would try to slowly walk up to them, and when they turned around everyone had to stand still

A game called heads up 7 up... Where 7 specific people would secretly pick one person each and the goal was for said person to figure out who picked them. If they won they would be on the team to pick other people...

For some reason reminds me of mafia...

Rotten egg was its name and it's quite a damn complicated game

A spot would be marked as the "home"

1) Everybody gathers at the home and a ball is thrown into the air. The person who threw it shouts a players name. The person whose name was called has to catch it. Everybody else runs away. If they catch it straight from the air they can throw it up again and call a new name. If it bounces on the ground that person has to get it, run back to home and shout STOP. Everybody has to stop moving then. (Not like freeze, just stay in the spot you were at)

2) Now the hunter is told an amount of different types of steps by the rest of the players. There are different steps one can use like chick (Put feet directly in front of eachother), elephant (big step), camel (You spit and go to wherever the biggest amount of it landed) and there are many more. Now the hunter will have to pick a "prey" and use those steps to get closer to them. There is no set amount of how many steps they should get, but the general spirit of "Fairness" should be kept.

3) When the hunter is deemed to be adequately close or far away the prey will choose a kind of a "mission" (Not really) Once again, the spirit of fairness should be in everybody, so like.... if the hunter is quite far away, choosing basketball is frowned upon.
Basketball - the pray holds hands in front of themselves as a hoop, the hunter has to get the ball through it
Clown - The pray jumps legs together and apart, the hunter has to get the ball through the legs
Tree - The pray just stands still and the hunter has to hit them
Bird - The pray jumps/runs/skips a few meters either way and the hunter has to hit them
Car - No mission, just jumps to the next step

and once again there is a lot of variants of missions

4) If the hunter completes the mission, the prey turns into the hunter. If the hunter fails they stay the hunter.
The moment the mission is either completed or failed everybody can move again and have to run back home. The hunter has to fetch the ball and try to hit anybody who hasn't reached home yet. If they manage to hit anybody, that person becomes the hunter. If everybody has made it to home, the final hunter gets a "rotten egg"

And then repeat! The hunter now throws the ball up, calls somebody's name etc etc
We now only have one more aspect of the game that is the best part I would say

NAME GIVING!

5) Once somebody reaches 3 rotten eggs, they will be given a new name. All the other players gather to discuss the names. As many as you will can be thought up (usually around 5) then a name is assigned to each finger on a hand and the poor soul who is going to get a name will have to pick a finger. They will now have the name assigned to that finger! From this point onwards in the game you can only call that person by their new name. If you call them by their original name you will get a rotten egg.

PS: The names stack, so when you have 6 eggs, you will get a SECOND name which will both have to be called out

Physical mafia was my favorite, it's like the card game here except instead of killing just by pointing at someone while sitting down you have to run around in the dark in a big building and fake slit each others throats
