If you collect Kpop Albums.. (1 Viewer)

Hey I have always been curious about collectors that collect albums. Since Kpop albums usually have different versions. Is it important to you to collect all versions or just one?

I personally only collect albums from my ultimate solo/groups only. Which is SHINee, SuperM, and Taemin. I always get every version even if the only thing different is the cover. Although for me it's not as important for SHINee and SuperM to have every version but I still like to try to get them.. It's a must for me if its Taemin's solo albums or if the photobooks are different in the group versions. Which I finally have every Taemin Solo Album versions except 2 Kihnos from his Album collection.

I would also like to know if you go beyond collecting albums? Like merch items as well. I collect everything Taemin so if the merch has Taemin on it I usually want it. I enjoy having some items that include the full groups as well, its just too expensive to try to collect everything for every member

Sometimes I buy all versions of Twice's albums when I really like the package

And I don't buy any other merch

For Apink I tend to buy both as they’ve never gone beyond two versions and they’re my ult gg.

For EXO though I’m more thorough. I’ll buy all the versions unless it’s something like Exodus or Sing For You, where I only bought Xiumin’s versions. I also buy the Japanese versions of their concert DVD’s and their photobooks.

I want to eventually have everybody I stan’s lightsticks, that’s my goal.

Nice! I only have SHINee lightstick at the moment. I want the SuperM one too but haven't tried to get it yet. I also am collecting Taemin's smaller lightsticks that he has for each of his concerts.

I do own 1 EXO album and its Obsession. I love that album. And I have Baekhyun's City Lights. But only one version of those. Those were gifts though.

I also collect Japanese releases for my Ults. SHINee just had a release of their Japanese album Superstar and it had 7 versions.. RIP my wallet.. I got every version..

I am working on collecting only Taemins Concert Dvds for now. I also want those in every version. I only have 5 of his concert ones so far. 3 different concerts. I also collect all of his Photobooks. He doesn't have many just photobooks. Concert one and 2 others. I collect all the magazines too for Taemin, SHINee and SuperM. I love the pictures.

I completed the mini album full set for SuperM and slowly working on the full set for Super One. Sadly bc of funds I wasn't able to buy all 7? was it 7 versions of Super One? I only have 3 atm.

If you count the different covers its 7, but I only counted different photobooks and for different photobooks there's 5.

Do you try to collect all the photocards per member also or is it just albums you collect? For Photocards I usually keep what I pull and buy any of Taemin's that I am missing. In the future I do want to collect photocards for all the members but its not my goal atm. So I only have to collect all of Taemin's for now and just have whatever members I pull from the albums.

Oh wow a newbie
Not that I've been into kpop long, for me it was since early 2017. I didn't find Shinee until a few months after though, and I was anticipating SuperM partly because Taemin and the NCT membrs being there, and when Super One was released they became my ults.
