London based artist Maisie Peters has just released her long awaited debut album under gingerbread records.
She had revealed a few songs in prior of the release this year : Brooklyn, You signed up for this, Psycho, John Hugues Movie and Volcano. The album contains a total of 14 songs and honestly it is a great album to chill or just relaxing. I don't mean it is boring at all, it isn't but if you look for an album to dance or smth catchy/fun, it is not what you'll find here. It seemed to be a personal album and I appreciated that. I would recommend Psycho and Villain as both are the songs I have liked the most after a first listen of the whole album. Otherwise Outdoor Pool, Love him I don't and I'm trying (not friends) made a good impression on me as well, can't say they were an instant love as the two others I have listed below. The rest of the songs were a bit higher than average but you should have a listen yourself to make your own opinion. Not the best summer album I have ever listened but it is still enjoyable.
I would rate the whole as a 7.5/10, because no songs were a disaster and some were quite good
