I don't get why most people hate P.E (1 Viewer)

Like P.E helped me lose like 10 pounds in over a month I developed a ton of muscles in my calf I also loved it so much I joined my high school cross country team it ended about two weeks ago but I enjoyed it

I had like one good PE teacher who understood that some people are just not competitive and she made me run on my own speed and have my own tempo. She respected us as people and allowed us to try new things, she was really open to "not everyone is good at everything but you are good at something!".

I hated this whole aggressive competitiveness and yelling, also that weird sense of humour that some PE teachers have like calling everyone who is not fast lazy etc. I like sports, I do but I just don´t like this whole KICK IT, RUN, FASTER! BIGGER etc.

I am a gentle flower.
and PE made me shiver. oh, I also hated changing in front of everyone in the changing room.... depressing times

Me and a friend hates that all us girls ever did was rounders, so we’d just leave our own class and go to where the boys class was on the field and play football instead. We were the sport loving ones in our class, so the others would barely even play properly and it annoyed us.
Being asthmatic meant I couldn’t run much anyway, but it did also get me out of doing beep tests.

i think it all depends on the school, the teacher and how the lessons are carried out. sure PE could be fun if you don't yell at students for not running fast enough, force them to do things they're literally unable to or grade it the same way as subjects you could learn just by reading a textbook

I really liked it when I had a good teacher but when I got to middle school it seemed like my P.E teacher was always out to get me. That was when I was first starting to have social anxiety and he constantly put me in situations that got everyone to pay attention to me and it just caused me a ton of stress.

Shame on him. He shouldn't be a teacher at all if that's how he considers 'to teach kids'. What a weirdo. I hate that you had to experience something like that and especially as a kid. :(

It wasn’t a fun experience but in a way it showed me how some people can be so it prepared me for future situations like that.
