First of all, it’s far from the truth. BTS fandom are growing up with them and ARMY sold out entire stadiums or expensive clothes in one hour so this buying power is coming from somewhere. Spotify, Melon stats or whatever are pretty clear : BTS have one of the most diverse fanbases, they have more men and grow-ups in their fans/casual listeners than your average boy groups. Kpop Source is not gonna like this truth. I saw some of you stating several times that BTS owned their success to their obsessed teenage fangirls. As if your faves were mostly supported by 50 years old wise men and women.

This generalization is mysoginistic in itself. Once again, someone is making a joke on women's interest as if they were less worthy than men'interests. God forgives women if they like romances or boy groups. It's their hormones speaking for them, not their brain. What brain anyways ?

Most of my ARMY friends are in their twenties like me though I obviously know some teenage ARMY and there is nothing wrong about being supported by 15 years old anyways. They have a brain. They can reflect too.

It's sad how the groups promotes anti-bullying and the fandom is toxic & continues to bully other people for having different opinions. Suhyun's situation is just one of many. And it's just sad.

Is this okay? No I don't think so.

I love BTS. I hate the fandom. And that's for every group to be honest. We all just need some more respect I guess.

What happened to Suhyun is really sad and she did not deserve it at all but I hope that you are showing the same energy toward others fandoms when they are shading on BTS. Guess what ? I know you don't. You are speaking about Jimin's birthday ? Last year some K-fandoms and their international counterparts made him trend all day long for his birthday calling him a gorilla. They did a hashtag for that knowing well that BTS are really active on Twitter.

Later on, this year, some toxic Blinks and others fandoms made Jimin and RM trend again. They accused RM of raping Lisa and they slandered Jimin, they slut-shamed him, they misgendered him and mocked his appereance. They were everywhere on Twitter and made some vile videos on Instagram. It's a daily episode of what is going on against BTS for years. This time it was particularly heart-breaking because they both saw it and they posted a photo the day after to say that they were okay when they barely spoke about the hate that they receive.


Most ARMY are chill, they mind their own business. You hate the ARMY fandom because of a loud minority ? Hate all the Kpop fandoms equally then or realize your hypocrisy.

"theyre gay" "they wearing so much makeup" etc etc. they hate them because bts make them look bad. theyre slobs and lvm and dont want to look at women as people with desires. when bts and similar things (romance novels etc) come along, they feel threatened, because they show men that can actually be decent people and see women as humans. so they make it as if being a teenage girl is the most ridiculous frivolous thing in the world

bts hate that comes from other kpop stans is also just jealousy but in a different form. their faves aren't bts and theyre bitter. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ too bad

Some men in the Kpop community are so mysoginistic. They pick up on female fans for having "oppas" but don't don't you dare say the same thing about their noonas. It's just about their noonas though not others female idols. These ones can be criticized if they are competing with their group because let's face it, competition made Kpop fandoms loose their mind and that's why they are so mad against BTS and ARMY as a whole when BTS and most ARMY are sweethearts.

If you want something done about rule breaking it's best to report it. I don't recall seeing reports about BTS hate before until today, and I don't frequent BTS threads so I wouldn't see it in my day to day scrolling. If you report something and it is rule breaking I would take care of it no problem, I just don't. see it like I would if it were reported.

Thank you. I agree with you. I just want to say that when I talked about some male fans mysogynistic behavior, I was obviously not talking about everyone and sometimes female fans can act the same way because mysogyny can unfortunately be internalized like racism or homophoby.
