At uni I almost dated a guy, but backed out when I realised we’d be long distance (had a long distanced relationship before and it did not work out)

I carried on talking to him though for a few months, then he showed me his new clothes, which were a MAGA hat and t-shirt. He wasn’t even American, but bullet well and truly dodged on my part.

He lived in Ireland and I live in northern England. Something else was putting me off dating him and I didn’t know why, so finding that out shortly after made me feel a lot happier in saying no.
