What were the mandatory subjects in your primary/secondary school? (1 Viewer)

In Ireland, everyday students have to do English, Maths & Irish, and subjects like history, geography, science, etc, being spread out between them during the week, maybe done once or twice. But I’m interested to see what the mandatory subjects were in other schools around the world

math, dutch, english, french, history, geography, sciences (if you're in a stem program biology physics and chemistry are all separated otherwise theyre all mushed together into one easier to digest class), PE are some of the ones that are mandatory throughout your entire middle/high school career. then there's subjects like music and art that are only mandatory in 7th & 8th grade

For all five years I was at high school, I had English, maths, science, religious education and p.e as mandatory subjects. We also had to do three technology based subjects (woodwork, textiles and food) that were alternated each term for the first three years, and then I had to choose one to do at GCSE level.

Secondary was basically the same with the addition of a foreign language in the last 2 years.

in elementary school it was polish literature (just called polish), english, maths, science, PE, arts, history and one foreign language of choice.
in high school it was polish, english, maths, PE, geography, biology, chemistry, physics, social studies and history but the ones in bold were just one year and then if you took an extended science subject later you have social studies and history as one subject and the other way round. in the first year there was also "knowledge of culture" which in my school was just art history and an useless subject called "enterpreneurship basics" which was supposed to be economy or some sh*t but ended up as just the teacher calling us losers if we don't start our own business.
