i stanned ateez predebut, back when they were still kq fellaz hehe my biases were hongjoong and yeosang, i even made gifs for the fandom and everything
unfortunately once they debuted i realized their music and concepts werent gonna be for me so i pulled out. i love seeing them be so succesful tho, it makes me proud~ i want them to go higher and higher and achieve more and more of course

aespa was on my radar purely due to the SMNGG thread here predebut but i dint stan em when karina, giselle, winter n ningning were introduced before debut much to my shame, cos i hadnt realised winter's entire captivation of my future self/or then current winter's personlity traits, which may or may not hv been obvious then. In short no. It took me a short whie after debut. Tat was the closest to stanning predebut tat i ever gotten.

i got so close to stanning them around adore u era, but i was in my pop punk era so i just spend a whole night looking at pictures of vernon and reading the members' kprofiles, only to completely forgot about them until 2017, which is when i actually got into kpop

The first time i see an act i have to be intrigued, and they have to be good.
i typically try to not nuke over the video and see em on a music show ect.
I gotta like all the members mostly equally
the music has to be consistently enjoyable and listenable.
I have to want to look up performances and non musical content.
I have to buy the albums.
I have to be invested.

I really like the girls but i just cant stand the last music . Savage is awful i do not care how many ppl like it. Next level was a action movie song that they sold with style, not bad but not something i would search up.
Aespa has the additional problem is i was invested in the other smrookies who got cut, making it harder to get into them.
I made it thru that but the music is just not there.
And i have to be fair they got a ton of rope twice bp everglow idle ext all were nuked much faster.

i do kinda regret twice its just be a star happened to be what i saw when i went for the lives of cheer up. for that i blame JYP. Those were at least in my memory just jaw dropping awful. to the point i showed family and asked if i was being too harsh.
Also they are from an inhouse survival show and that is like an auto 3 strikes.

Tats more than fair, Rand. I feel u been more predispised to SM groups, anyway so if SM style music/everything cant get u to the point of stanning, its just not a good fit ig.

Also out of curiosity is "ext" etcetera? Who did u include n cut? I can see bp, eg, idle, twice being cut but who else did u give some rope to? Im not sure where ITZY lies on ur radar, is it a nuke site or on the good map(stan or at least liked grp?).

I've only ever gotten into one group predebut, and that's Kep1er (whose name I STILL can't seem to type right lol). I've stanned a lot of other groups UPON debut, though, like TXT, Everglow, Loona, Enhypen, and Aespa.
