Drops of Jupiter by Train - Back when they were more popular, the Backstreet Boys had released a superhero comic book (their alter ego was the Cyber Crusaders). It was about a beautiful alien girl bestowing superpowers upon them and Nick falling for the alien. (it flopped HARD, though lol) Since the song has outer space references in it, I immediately connected it with the comic and considered it Nick's "love song to the alien". lol I was a silly fifteen-year-old...



Complicated by Avril Lavigne - The girl who tutored me in my early days of high school was the one who got me into this song, and Avril in general. She played the song for me without giving me the title, and I had to guess. Well, the first line of the chorus came up, and I couldn't quite understand what Avril was singing so I gave it my best guess - Conjugated... to be fair, though, we were conjugating verbs in German class at the time. lol
