i get marketing calls maybe once or twice a month, not frequently enough to annoy me but the phishing texts OH MY GOD they drive me nuts

I once got a call from a woman who said Sky were cutting our television package off. We said ok but we don’t have Sky, so hung up. Later that day, the same woman called us to say that our BT television package was getting cut off, but we don’t have that either

Not often but my phone tells me when it's spam so I don't pick up.

Almost never. If anything, it's usually an offer from the phone company or something similar.

My favourite was the one about the house fire in 2017 but we have been here 17 years

A lot. lol It's usually about cars I don't even own, my Duke Energy bill (I don't pay electric), apology calls for some reason or another (I always hang up at "This is an apology call"), and offers from my service provider. But this totally takes the cake:

I got a call once saying my iCloud data got breached, and I got so scared (I had just switched from Android to iPhone at the time) that I just went with it. The guy had me do weird shit like access a website through the Run command on my computer, clicking this, typing that... I finally started to get fed up with him halfway through, so I hung up and thought that would be the end... NOPE! The guy called me again. I hung up. Again - hung up. AGAIN - hung up and called my tech savvy dad, who told me just to block the number bc scam. Luckily, after I did that, I didn't hear from the scammer ever again.
