No, don't be hard on yourself for rejecting someone. You're not obligated to be with someone romantically, just because they are your friend. It sucks for the other person but at least they may be able to move on now. You gotta do what makes you happy, put yourself first

rejecting someone or being rejected isn't easy, but it's part of life and while it's okay to feel bad that you did because they're your friend, which I can understand because I've been in that position, it's worse to lead them on and make them believe there's a chance.

i do usually feel bad but then i try to realize that there are reasons for why i made that decision and then i don't feel as bad bc the way i feel is just as valid and important as everyone else
