... i have had braces for a year and a half now but anyways i got them adjusted today (2 new wires, a chain, and spacers) and they haven't hurt for a few months but today they hurt so bad, even when im not moving my mouth and i have taken medicine but it isn't working

if you have had braces do you know anything to help it stop hurting

i usually take medicine and it works but I would avoid cold foods and drinks

It never really hurt me, only 1 or 2 times, but I never took medicine.
Try to massage your gums with your finger, even if it's hurtful.
Sometimes I used a tincture with cloves and chamomile which both helps with pain and wounds.

thats the worst part bc i can't find anything that helps anymore, painkillers are just duds now

i massaged my gums and it felt so good and when i stopped it hurt so bad but its working so i might try it again

I haven't had braces but I had invisalign at one point... I hope your mouth feels better soon :/ I would try cloves like @Hakunama_Tata recommended. Have you tried swishing salt water in your mouth a few times a day? I know that can help with healing. If none of those work then maybe you can talk to your orthodontist/dentist and see if they can prescribe stronger painkillers

i have done that but its not a sore, its just pain from the tightness and my teethe shifting again
