I think me and @Hakunama_Tata agreed that Stray Kids had such a good year this year. I have heard people around me talking about them (AROUND ME, IN REAL LIFE, IN THIS COUNTRY!) and they generally seemed to be glowing. Apart from that small hiccup with Hyunjin (and he was a good boy all that time anyway), everything went so smoothly for them.

Ateez did so well in the first half of 2021.

Yongguk´s comeback (I was counting days ahaha till he would come back from the military and I KNEW that he would create something) was awesome, though maybe a bit smaller than expected. still good, the king is back and seems superhappy about everything ♥

Minho´s surprise in the last days of 2021??? excuse me? my heart???? how could he???? ♥♥♥

Yep, been a stan since Hero! We were fed so well with them this year, I can’t wait for 2022. EXO were also great (of course SM gave nobody promos this year, and then threw Kai under the bus by sending him to Kwangya)

oh wow, I think I found them like a year ago or so due to mindless scrolling :D.

Kai did well anyway. he is so popular now. good for him. but I also felt like SM could have done so much more for their group comeback? like wth

Good year for IU and TXT. Aespa sweeped. Twice release many consistently great stuff. Pixy is on their way to a flawless discography. SHINee ate. Mamamoo was good imo. Like people think that they didn't do much and maybe they didn't as a group, but Mamamoo the Best was an amazing throwback album, and we got so many solo songs, some collaboration, and ost's from the girlies... like looking at it from the bigger picture... I think moomoos were well fed. B.I.G finally coming back warmed my heart, and Got7 doing all sorts of amazing solo projects away from JYP was great.

I was also pleased to see Astro and The Boyz do well.

Since Obsession era EXO have made it pretty public they hate being in SM, and SM know it. Their 10yr contract is expiring in April so it looks like they’re jumping ship. We know Yixing is coming back to Korea soon, and people seem to think he’s joining back up with EXO and discussing contracts, which makes sense. Suho once said on Radio Star all nine members have agreed to stick together no matter what.

oh I have definitely forgotten to talk about "Drink it" which is probably one of my most listened song of 2021 :D. but I have a feeling the Boyz are preparing something bigger for the next year, hopefully! :)
