News PARADISES and GO TO THE BEDS to cease activities, all members to join "GANG PARADE" (2 Viewers)

it was announced today on the "Yomiuri Shimbun" the newspaper with the largest circulation in Japan,

huge surprise not only for fans but also for the members who were told about it just a few hours into 2022, you can watch their reaction here

they were given 48 hours to prepare for the live debut, they also are going to release a new single "PARADE GOES ON"

normally i would be sad to hear that two groups i like are disappearing but this is... wow they are back

originally PARADISES and GO TO THE BEDS were born from the split of GANG PARADE, the later disbanded in 2020, several members left while others joined the new groups, back in October of 2021 both groups switched line ups with each other, maybe they were preparing us for this

while they are going to cease activities is still not clear which is going to be the ultimate fate of PARADISES and GO TO THE BEDS, maybe they can survive as sub units?

I don't know what to think about Wack. These changes look like too extreme to me.

this it's actually one of the best decisions done by the management in years!

the news has been universally praised by the fandom, no wonder since killing GP was very dumb, while they were never at the same level as BiSH nor they had the media attention that BiS or MAMESHIBA has gotten they still had the 2nd strongest fandom in the company, releases would sell 50k with some selling over 100,000 copies

for example the winners of the WACK7 vote were all ex members of GP (plus two BiSH members)

that said PARADISES and GO TO THE BEDS together hasn't been able to reach even half of the popularity of GANG PARADE, plus with BiSH disbanding next year it makes sense they want to rebuild back the fandom

i legitimately never expected them to come back, seems 2022 it's going to be a year of surprises in WACK (according to GP it's going to be a year of miracles)

and although they are together again with almost the same line up they are not going to be the same group, they are a new GANG PARADE!

btw we got back our fan cams, i'm glad GP still doesn't give a damn if people film their concerts

Not performing the same songs? In what sense they are new

while there isn't just a single reason as to why they disbanded one of the catalyst was that Kamiya Saki was withdrawing from the group

she was one of the original founders and members of WACK, a member of the original BiS, a founder of Pla2me and POP (a proto version of GANG PARADE), by the time she left she was by far the person with the longest history in WACK, at the time most of the GANG PARADE members were still new with some of them being the new generation of rookies within the company

they are "new" because this time they don't have their seniors with them, as a matter of fact some of their members are now the seniors at the company, for example Yuyu, Coco and Dockson are already on their 5th year, even the then rookies are now among the most popular members of WACK, they now have 3 new members (4 with naruha) who joined during the PARADISES and GO TO THE BEDS era, it's definitely going to be a new GANG PARADE!

I'd had loved for BiS to have gone the IDOL route. That's one of my favourite alt-idol songs ever.
