Make friends on here.

Like yeah I comment on posts I guess, but I can't seem to get close to people. I'm not sure if it's because I'm slightly shy or I am just terrible at holding a conversation.

Honestly it kind of just happened and with people I didn't think it would happen with, I can't really give a way to do it because it was different for everyone. Having a discord helped me because I use it to talk to most of my friends, along with needing it for staff reasons ofc.

me and @Areum101 are super close bc we have known each other for years, so i guess it really depends on how you put yourself out there. bc tbh i don't think i would be close to the people im friends with now if i hadn't mentioned a few things we had in common/liked

just get out of your comfort zone and start the convos first? end conversations with open ended questions, don´t be afraid to reach out and be a bit annoying. sometimes it seems that people might not respond very quickly and very warmly but that might change once they see you are a keeper. usually fangirling together over something helps as we are on a forum and most of the times conversations stride away into real life and then you know someone trusts you. but it is not like I have an army of friends so don´t take my word 100% on it :D.
also, don´t worry about it too much. just do you and people will catch on. if you want to speed "that catching" up, you just have to be a bit more extroverted than you´d usually be

I met my current group of friends on a different forum and over there I was added to their group chat out of nowhere, without a single warning, only a week after I joined that forum. Now we're all on KPS. I guess you make friends out of nowhere really... Without them I would probably be alone.

I'm not the type to go toward people and start a conversation but sometimes I had to push myself out of my comfort zone and talk first. I suggest maybe doing that too if you are shy!

i think it just happens... i'm an extrovert irl but i'm terrible at starting and keeping up conversations with people you can't physically meet like on forums and stuff but then again KS is the only forum i've ever been on

yeah discord is way easier to communicate with since it's more instant.

The caveate to it is that I find it overwhelming at points. When you have people posted like 20 things in a group chat at once I can get lost haha...

Depends on who you want to get close to really, some people are better with profile posts while others are better with dms so just have to try and talk to people which interacting on threads can be a good way to start then trying their profile/dms if you wanna talk more
