i didnt realize the full extent of the word either, but im not American and not super familiar with American slang. my only exposure to that word is through "twitter baddies" so i assumed it meant something like, someone who's not afraid to be hot and sexual i guess? which isnt a bad thing at all imo, though i would still never let a man describe me like that. i guess i just wanted to give jae the benefit of the doubt and assume that they set different boundaries in their friendship and joke like that all the time, but knowing jae is from LA and should probably know what th*t means, and jamie's reaction to it...

if anything being free from k-pop just makes his apology seem a bit weird because if he only thought it meant being a "baddie" then why would he specify that he's saying it now that he's no longer a kpop idol? it's not like the word baddie is banned from the kpop dictionary or whatever. so now i just hope he discussed it with jamie personally too because she's the only one that needs an apology here

I mean, maybe they had joked like that before? I mean, don´t we all use curse words in different senses? you can call someone "..." in a friendly manner though for others it might be in poor taste (but you and your friend are used to it) and you can call someone "...." and be really mean about it. I guess, it depends on the context and how close they are.

also sometimes you can misjudge how close you and the person is and how cheeky you can be. how far you can go.

I´m not defending Jae here, I am just defending the fact that sometimes we do misjudge the situation. we are living in times when we should all learn to be on our best behaviour just because whenever anyone wants to, they can get offended over everything. Jae should probably learn that too :D.

That's right there should be a public announcement by him that he settled it with Jamie if he talked to her personally but nothing more just say you talked about it without going into more detail because it's about their private relationship and friendship

i don't know either of them personally but i think that if they had joked like that with each other before jamie wouldn't get upset the way she did

neither do I ,but sometimes people are just happy to have something to be angry about. he posted that publicly and people immediately started keyboard-fighting ... she grabbed the moment to turn the light on herself ... if she didn´t complain, people would start yelling "but how can you A WOMAN allow A MAN joke about yourself like that?" how can you betray your sisters! etc.

I think what he is going through is feeling " I don´t freaking care" and takes it on the wrong people as well as perhaps the right ones. I don´t know, if anyone called me like that I would not bother at all. but maybe it´s just me.
I have been in the situation when my words were taken out of context when we used to joke around all the time and then suddenly that person took my words and created a whole affair out of it. of course people jumped to conclusions and didn´t believe me. they only saw the story of it, THAT ONE SLIGHTLY DERAGATORY sentence and boom, no one cared about the previous messages, no one cared about what had happened before.
I dunno, I´d be much more interested to hear, why did he feel he should say that about her and why was he even talking about her in the first place? was it perhaps because they had talked to each other before the live stream and something had happened that she had come to mind so quickly?
