I wasn't able to close my eyes and turn away from who I am and what I believe in. They tried to literally force me to eat meat when I was a kid, they wanted me to be more religious yet less kind somehow, and close-minded pretty much...

Hm this is a tough question. I was raised to believe in the bible and to serve God. I still have strong faith in that so there is that.

But apart from that I wasnt really brought up at all. My mother didn't have any expectations about me or any of us really its just as long as we followthe bible that's all that mattered to her. I always viewed my mother like an older sister I dont feel I had parents I'm more self raised. And how I was self raised I am a complete failure atm compared to when I was a kid. I was a really high achiever when i was a kid in all fields. I'm still very good in things tho but I still feel in comparison im a failure. And if I was a kid I would probably tell future me to jump off a bridge lol.

some traits i have gotten from my parents raising me, like being respectful to people who are older then me (as long as they arent rude or annoying to me). being a kind person, and a lot of other things. but one thing that ive learned on my own is being more open minded and accepting of different communities. my parents arent close minded bigots but I feel like im just a lot more open minded. i was raised to be christian and while i still do believe in that, ive learned to question it and i dont base my life on the bible. there are a lot of things about me that dont exactly fall in line with the bibles rules, i myself am still trying to find myself and grow into a better person. My parents have taught me a lot but I think that as of now im growing into my own person and my morals are changing based on what i think, not what my parents think.

Not really. Some of the traits I got from my family members was being close minded and judgmental. Thankfully as I matured I became a lot more open minded.A lot of my family members were really homophobic as well, but thankfully I never was. Something that I learned from my mom is "if they aren't sleeping with the same person that I'm sleeping with, then I don't care if they're gay. (lol) I think there were a few family members who thought that I'd even fail school and never go to college or anything, but I proved them wrong.

No. I can honestly say with what my mother wanted me to be I turned it opposite. She wasn't accepting when I admitted I was attracted to men and women,or the fact I was only into people on the inside

I would say my parents definitely had an influence. However they can't cover everything. Some of the stuff that are part of my mentality now,they can't take it at all.

I was raised pretty decently, I think I grew up differently from what my parents had imagined even though they always say they're proud of me and so on. All the good and the bad taught me a lot, and made me think carefully about who I want to be.
