my unbiased top 10 albums of this decade so far (1 Viewer)

[cocomelon]

1. folklore - Taylor Swift

if theres a person who can write so many masterpieces of songs while being in Quarantine, its Taylor swift. folklore is such a beautiful and simple piece of art. Every song does an excellent job in telling a story, or just about Taylor's past experiences. many people say its boring, but that's just illogical, cause the depth that this album holds is insane.

2. positions - Ariana grande

Ariana has just really proved herself again to be the queen of pop. this album is like playing with fire, she doesn't care about anything, she just want what she wants. she is carefree and expressive in a really mature yet playful way.

3. formula of love - Twice

I'm not surprised this album is one of the highest acclaimed kpop album of all time. twice didn't come to play with this one. they served track after track whether it be the intense track like Last Waltz, a powerful and emotional track like Cactus or just a fun bubblegum pop song like The Feels. Twice are really the queens of diversifying their genres with every comeback.

4. sour - Olivia rodrigo

Sour is such a solid debut album. a perfect captivating introduction album to what all Olivia's skills really are. this album isn't just filled with great vocal showcase but extremely well written songs that talk about a single story, throughout the whole album. tying it all together better than anything else.

5. future nostalgia - dua lipa

If there was anyone else who deserved the Album of the Year 2020 other than folklore, it was future nostalgia. dua really teleported us to the old times, with retro and disco bops like Don't start now and Levitating. she does an amazing job in songwriting as well in songs s like boys will be boys and break my heart.

6. the album - blackpink

7. planet her - doja cat

8. chaos chapter : freeze - txt

9. 30 - adele

10. sawayama - rina sawayama
