HELL YES :ankha: first time i watched it was in high school during one of my french lessons, and i'm kicking myself to this day that i didn't learn it properly because i studied it for like 9 years (primary school-high school) but because of the polish crap education system i never reached the fluency :headache: i can still read and understand some stuff tho

but the movie LIT i love french cinema overall :queen:

i watched it in school too omg
but it was before high school, the class was filled with 14 year olds so instead of having an actual conversation about the movie it sounded like the filmweb comment section with a bunch of stupid teens agreeing with the racist parents. so the teacher just told them to be quiet and on the next lesson she made us watch the edith piaf biopic instead lmaooo. i'm just like you with the french skills but i'm only blaming my school on that because i had french in gimnazjum and then in liceum our class had no choice but to take german. now i don't understand either, i watched a french tv show some weeks ago and turned off the lektor to see if i understand anything - the only thing i did was the protagonist's name

as a german…. english movies would count right? :shockedcover: :runrunrun: if so Clueless, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and the Back to the Future triology. I also like to mention Love Simon cause the whole Simonverse is just amazing.

Non-English ….. most likely a french movie like LOL or a norwegian movie like Battle.

But honestly I watched more german and movies from an english speaking country more than anything :nekosweat: I would say with series it’s more varied since I adore multiple spanish series and I love The Protector a turkish series and have also some scandinavian series (skam, love and anarchy to mention just two) that I love.
