one of my former friends passed away due to suicide on February 1st. We became friends in 6th grade because we were in a rock band together but in 8th grade we stopped talking because we didn’t have any classes together. Now in high school, I only go to the high school building for last hour because i’m in early college and I rarely ever saw them but when I did they always looked so happy and I never could have thought they were struggling so much inside. They were being bullied for being a part of the LGBTQ+ community and even got sexually assaulted. None of the teachers or counselors or even the principal did anything. No one took ANY action which caused this to happen. Still none of the teachers are doing anything after all this has happened so today people are protesting at the high school because they don’t want their death to go unnoticed. Lots of people got arrested already. Some people are using this as a fucking excuse to miss class. I don’t want to go there today because everyone there is so immature and don’t know how to respect anyone. People are even mocking their suicide and making fun of them. One of my classmates told me that when they went to the high school for last hour, the teacher was calling role and she accidentally said their name and everyone went “oh my gosh where are they? oh right they killed themself” and they all laughed and mocked them. Another one of my classmates who was close with them said that the guy at the funeral home was disrespecting them by opening the casket and mocking them. I don’t want to go to a school where about every single person thinks it’s okay to make fun of a fucking suicide. I would have expected the staff of the school to take some action and talk to students because it can be stressful to have this happen at your school but NO. Nothing. No action taken.

It's bad situation and I'm really sorry but at least we know it won't last forever and eventually you will get free from that people, you will graduate and follow your way
But the staff is disappointing, they are clearly not made for the job they got
