There's a surprising amount of kid groups in kpop (1 Viewer)

I'm not sure how kid groups work, like if they are subject to the same training conditions as idol groups, or if there are rules protecting them (I hope they are protected). These young kids have so much talent and hope they can achieve their dreams but I worry about how the industry treats them.

I just feel like they aren’t old enough to be public figures at that age. Hell, I think treasure are young for that let alone kid groups.

I think they're too young for the harsh industry. I worry most about their mental well-being and if they're being protected cause they are in the industry so young

I dunno. there are child actors and actresses that enter the industry young too so should there be any difference with music? but then I just ... eh, can´t imagine they are having that much fun. keep it at schools as school bands etc. that could be real fun and even if they are really good and talented they could make it to the top later on.
I feel no one should debut under the age of 16 and child actors should not be used unless they are essential for the story to keep children out of all that.
I am sure they are having fun and their parents might be there to overlook everything but the stress? knowing how perfectionist the industry is?

always fearing those pushy tiger mums that want their kids to be the best at everything only not to notice how the kid is losing themselves :/. but I am being negative. hopefully that is not the case. everyone is cute and talented.

That is true, they are very talented and hope they do follow their dreams

I just really hope this ain't some toddlers in tiaras or dance moms type stuff

Their choreos aren't silly, they are definitely spending a good time practicing. I hope their parents are following it and making sure it's not too tiring

The choreos do look like quite a lot of work tbh

Highly doubt they promote full time like idols do. There are rules that bans night schedules for members under 14. As for tough choreography, I do not see a problem if it's their passion. There are kids who become professional athletes or ballerinas already going en pointe as tweens which requires WAY much more work than these choreographies. As long as they like it.

Yes I have heard about rules for night schedules with young idols, I didn't know the exact ages on it though, thank you

Can we just normalize idols debuting as grown adults? I'm kinda sick of seeing kids debuting, let them enjoy their childhood properly.

I don't get how late 20s is considered old for idol life. As long as they have the passion, they should be able to continue. It really sucks to see companies push older idols away for children

I'd love to see 25+ years old debuting. Not everyone has to be young to be able to sing or dance... Just look at the western music industry. All in their 30's and popping off!

It would definitely attract a more mature fanbase. AND STOP DISBANDING GROUPS CUZ THEY'RE OLD UGH Can we have something like Shinhwa who are still releasing music despite being 1st gen group??? I guess people care more about visuals than the music smfh.

But even so, "older" visuals are attractive too. What's so appealing about literal children? Like so many underaged idols get sexualized (nobody should be, to like an uncomfortable degree) and that's so disgusting.
