Sigh... I tried to read multiple articles and interpretations but still don't find the reasons of the attack sufficient. I know "wars shouldnt even exist" and everything like that but even in Russia's perspective, this doesnt seem logical and is really random.

There are over 30 countries in NATO, most of them having Nuke capabilities themselves. That's just not gonna end well for Russia
