So I live with my grandparents and they DO NOT understand technology or the music of my generation and why I love kpop
She never even had a problem with it until now; all of a sudden she doesn't like the fact that it's Korean and she "can't understand it"
I tried to explain to her that I like it because it makes me happy and that a lot of it is really encouraging; but she had to listen to no other than . . .
KAI MMMH WHICH MADE IT EVEN WORSE
I don't understand why she doesn't like it all of a sudden; I've even played some ATEEZ for her and she liked it, even BlackPink and TXT
Now, I'm banned from listening to it in my own home. I can't listen to it unless it's "in English".
I can't text my friends at home off of my iPad anymore cuz I'm grounded for listening to music that brings me joy; only because she doesn't like it

idk if this is going to work, but could you maybe show your mom what it's like to be in your element? Like, let her watch you watch a Pentagon video or something like that - just don't let it be something with questionable lyrics. lol But anyway, maybe then she'll see how happy it makes you.
