About my bookshelves.

I woke up wanting to know the statistics randomly of how many books I own that I've read vs haven't read.

So I am actually happy with the proportion right now.
I own a total of 185 books.
(I plan on getting rid of 3 of them rn)
But right now that is EXACTLY how many I own.

Of those, I have read 74% aka 137 books.

I haven't read or plan to read 26% aka 48 books.

I am stupidly proud of the proportion because it means I read a good chunk of everything I own and make a decent
amount of progress each time I read vs buy a book.

So my ratio makes me happy-also I have a rule that I do not keep books I dislike.
So that's why I'm planning on unhauling 3 books as of right now.

I don't know if there is much you can say in response to this thread but feel free to respond with your numbers or to ask questions.

Good on you, I wish I had that strength. I know personally I struggle to get rid of things even if I dislike them

I guess it's mainly because my books are my collection that I'm proud of so to keep books I dislike ruins that beauty of my shelves for me even if the book covers are stunning. I also like to re-read so I don't like keeping books I know I won't re-read. I also hide certain books *cough* HP *cough* because I don't want to see a terf's name on my shelf.
