I have a rare genetic disorder called CHARGE syndrome. It was very novel at the time I was born, too - it had only been discovered five years beforehand (in 1981), and there were only a handful of other patients with it. Now it's more recognizable, but it's still pretty rare.

my eyes were greyish when I was young but turned to dark brown when I got older
