I miss the 2nd gen kpop sound so badly... It was unique and fun!
You knew it was kpop as soon as it started playing!
And... That's why I love POP! by Nayeon so much. It has that sound!
To be honest, the song reminds me a bit of Bubble Pop by Hyuna.
It has that summer vibe and same energy. This song is already one of my
fave songs from 2022. Thank you Nayeon for bringing back the good shit!
I hope her song influences others to bring back the industry to what it used to be.

Don't get me wrong, kpop is still good but it's really not what it used to be

I got Bubble Pop vibes too, which is a good thing. I really wasn’t expecting to like Nayeon’s solo as much as I have done, but I really enjoyed some of the songs from her mini.

and that, my friends, is what happens when you get one of the most prominent composers who built a large portion of the kpop sound to compose a song for a huge 2nd gen fangirl!

while the song doesn't really remind me of bubble pop, i love how it strays away from current trends and goes back to times and sounds that are more breezy. more fun.
