I need the music to be good and to my liking.
At the end of the day, I’m replaying that for my ears, not my eyes.
If you are a vocalist or rapper tho, obviously be good at what you do. Your delivery affects the songs.

That being said, I think being a stan of a group is very individualistic. You may like a group for one reason but I dislike it for another. So even if they're not the best vocalist, you can still like them and care for them. Plus, kpop songs have different roles for a reason - the main vocal is doing the high notes because they're probably the most stable person to do it. Vocal color is a thing as well. It's not my place to tell you who to support and how to support them.

If they are bad in what they do, or average, I don't think I would pay attention to them. I do not only care about the music but also vocals are really important to me. If the vocals aren't good then why even sing? I might as well become a singer then

Well all the groups I stan have a high level of talent even including the ones I am more of a casual fan of like WJSN so chances are they'd just be off my radar completely

i probably wouldn't stan a group with below average vocals and dancing if i'm honest; as for rappers i don't know much about rap so idk if i would be able to tell good from bad anyway

yeah i mean most pop music isn't very challenging vocally so if the song is good they can be mediocre vocalists. and they can be literally the worst dancers of all time because when i listen to a song i'm not watching the choreography.

I do like some rap. But I agree, if it's not necessary then I wish it wouldn't be included either. For example, IVE is doing a good job with that (at least with their title tracks).

I can listen and appreciate songs from groups with a weak vocal line or rap line but I won't stan them. I don't care if the group is weak at dancing because I am not really interested in the dancing aspect of Kpop and it's not needed to make a good song.
