A lot of things were allowed in the past but that doesn’t mean it’s okay.

But you also have to think of the audience. A lot of kpop fans are underage.

Adults can do whatever they want but that isn’t a blank check to do it anywhere.

There have been mature concepts much worse than what Twice is currently doing. You shouldn't worry about the young K-pop fans who are seeing this. That is what parents and monitoring are for.

There's a point where a girl group may want to go into these mature concepts. It's part of the group's evolution.

ETA: K-Pop is just Korean POPular music. It encompasses many genres and age groups, as you well know. This concept isn't new or different.

There’s a difference between mature concepts and outright sexualization. And they’re adults. Mature concepts dominated the second and early third gen, they’re just making a comeback. Radio silence when its a minor being sexualized but when Twice does a mature concept all hell breaks loose. Yeah that totally makes sense. I’m not even huge into twice but I see nothing wrong with this objectively speaking

People will be outraged no matter what, like how Jennie's nurse scenes got removed from the MV for being too "sexual" or "provocative". There are double standards in KPOP and women will always be punished for doing nothing while male idols get a free pass to do as they please. It's all about controlling women.
