so the other supermarket in the city is closed as of today. So it was super crowded. We are expecting it to even get worse. It’s not even funny any more and we already are short on staff. It’s crazy.
I already worked overtime today. Tomorrow as well. It’s gonna be a 40+ hour work week
I already mentioned in part 1 yesterday, that the company doesn’t like to have their staff exceed the amount of hours on the contract. But we literally have no choice. I better get paid those hours!!

Well they aren’t allowed to anyway. I could just sue them for that. But I’m pretty sure they will pay the hours. I’ve never had trouble before.
And I would love to keep this job. It’s so hard to find a new job full time and a permanent contract.

It really is hard to find a job, especially out where I am. I was very actively looking for almost two months and a half

That’s crazy. You’d expect stores or companies to be looking for staff. Especially young people. But apparently not.
It’s especially hard when you don’t have some kind of degree tho

You definitely deserve the extra mullah, especially since ya'll are understaffed. You're having to work another persons shift basically.

Well, I’ve heard today that only 16 hours of overtime per period is allowed. So I went home earlier today to compensate. They rather have those overtime hours another time. Cuz next week the vacations will be over, so that means even less staff. And a lot more highschoolers/student customers.
