Small update on the Ukrainian guy at work (1 Viewer)

So he was on the work schedule today but he was sick. When you are sick you are supposed to call us and let us know. But he wrote us an email instead. It was the most official formal letter ever. It was so funny and cute at the same time.
So I called him to ask how he was feeling and he said he was already doing better than yesterday thankfully. I also wanted to know if he was able to work again Thursday and Friday cuz he is on schedule those days. And he said he will. I asked him if he could call us tomorrow to let us know if he is sure to be able to work again. But he said he don’t need to cuz he is sure he will be. So nice! I also asked him if he wanted to work Saturday and Sunday cuz we need more people. He said he can work Saturday but not Sunday. Well I was really glad with him being able to work Saturday, cuz that day was priority. It’s the most crowded day of the week. So I put him on schedule for the entire day.
I also immediately informed him, that next time when he is sick he can just call us to let us know. Apparently he already wanted to but he didn’t know the number so I gave him that.
We are so glad to have him. What a nice and friendly guy

We don’t have those kind of awards unfortunately. But is we did he would totally deserve it!

No I’m not a manager. Idk how to say it in English, but I’m like the supporting hand of my department manager. I do have a lot of responsibilities. I do pretty much the same things she does. I’ll be learning for actually becoming one soon tho. She asked me if I want to call him cuz my English is way better

Yes the more responsibility part mostly. And I’m just afraid I can’t handle it tbh. But it’ll probably be alright.

Yeah that’s true. Trying doesn’t hurt. Honestly, I always saw my self as some kind of working bee too. I’ve never been really much of an ambitious person. But i’ve grown so much the last couple of years. Who knows what’ll happen in the future

Most of the people just never seem to be satisfied and are always rude. Don’t come at me with your bshit istg! But there are some nice people too. I always try my best to help customers. Even more than some of my colleagues would. I actually got praised by a customer for the great service a few days ago. Those kinds of things are so nice to hear.

Like this one weirdo wanted me to give him a high-five while I was at the register and when I didn't he started cussing me out. Sorry I don't wanna high-five some rando? Where I'm from there's a saying that, "Customers are always right." So even if they treat you like crap, you still gotta sell them that phenomenal service. Ya, no thank you. I grew up with the, "treat others how you want to be treated." mentality, so it's hard for me to hide my dislike for someone being rude as hell to me.
But yes, the few customers that are amazing and the regulars which make you feel comfy. It really is the best.
