I meant she could jot her ideas down so she'll remember them for next time. Writing doesn't have to literally mean writing with a pen or pencil; it can be used for typing, too.

ETA ~ But, when you learned to use the computer, did you ever hear your teachers say, "Write on your computer"? Not likely, right?
They say, "Type on your computer" because it's a physical action of using fingers to pressing keys.

Here's the definition of typing from dictionary.com ~ "the work or activity of using a typewriter or word processor."

Yes, it says typewriter, but again, people do not say "Write on the typewriter" because there is a distinction between writing and typing.

Also, people do not say, "Type it down on a piece of paper" do they?
Because that sounds silly if you are claiming the definition of typing should be included in the word writing.
