The key is to remove distractions and take breaks. Read one chapter (or section), then give yourself a phone break. It may help if you take notes on the content while reading if it's an informational textbook. I also suggest putting on music in the background while you read, it'll help you tune into the content of the book while tuning out the background noise.

I have to read and write in class, and I LOVE reading and writing. However, I cannot do it often because my eyesight is getting worse and worse. I need to go get prescription glasses but my mom is very busy and working hard so right now, she doesn't have the time to take me.

You need to tap into your creative genius - do something that inspires you. This can be as simple as playing music in the background that fits the tone, watching something that reminds you of what you're writing, or reading other works. Often times my biggest influence to write is by reading the amazing works I'm comfortable with.

If all else fails, you can always delete your current work and start over - not literally, just start a new word document and begin with a clean slate. If your work thus far has gone stale, then retrace your steps by rewriting it until you reach the point where you realize what needs to be changed in order to get your mind moving again.

If you are >18 then this is not in your hands. The only way to solve this is for your mom to schedule an appointment.

If you are 16, have a license and a vehicle, then your mom could probably set up the appointment for you and you could go alone and bring her insurance information/credit card. I've been to these types of places every year since I was in middle school, so I know my way around them. They'll try and sell you some things you don't need, but it'll be easier in the future when you can just say "I want the same thing I got last time" but with an updated prescription lens.

If you cannot contact them, then you have to mourn the loss and accept your fate. You must always act like your life could end in that moment, so as it to prevent having regrets. If you can contact them, then do so.
