VIXX's leader Cha Hakyeon has been one of my ults for the past five years and, unlike some of my current ults, Hakyeon has never been de-ulted or shaken from his position as #1.
He is the ultimate ult bias.

I fell for him by watching him dance, here are a few examples:





His voice is perfect, his visuals are perfect, his arms, he's an amazing actor too.

I also love his personality. Hakyeon has so much love for his members and his role in the team has always been that of a mother figure. He's not afraid to nag them, whine, or show his never-ending love for them, even if he himself is made the butt of the joke. Hakyeon is someone who has always puts others before himself.


Don't mistake Hakyeon's love for VIXX as one-sided
The members love and care for one another.

In this video, 5VIXX are sending messages to Hakyeon during their 'One Fine Day' where Hakyeon left them due to a drama recording. I honestly recommend the whole VIXX OFD as a great reality show to watch to get to know the members, but this episode in particular is a great example of them reflecting on their gratefulness for starlight and one another.


I relate to Hakyeon a lot when he says "I feel happy to be a leader in these times when I realize that they know how much I think of them. It comforts me a lot... and when they know my heart, I feel so grateful." and I think that quote has impacted me because I try to be similar to Hakyeon without even realizing it. I've changed over the years and become a person who showers those around me with reminders that I appreciate them and care for them, and I want to love others and be loved in return. When I receive reciprocation that my feelings are heard, I become my happiest, and it makes up for any "suffering". I think it's hard to live like this, and for that I'm thankful to look up to Hakyeon, because there are many days when I don't know how he does it. I want to be like Hakyeon, too, and have a strong heart.

Where do I start

I instantly clicked with him when I saw this video back in 2019

But I didn't Stan him yet (I was originally a Jungkook fanatic lol eww) I Ulted Exo but didn't have a ULT bias (it was almost Suho) and I suddenly felt this attraction to him so I binged a whole bunch of Exo content and learned about him
Then he suddenly dropped this bop

And I immediately FELL in love, so I reviewed the whole album (and added all the songs to my playlist) and I started ulting him
This crazy man made me fall so hard for him I almost excuse his stupid behavior (like saying dumb things along the lines of "biting each others butts") ahhhh I really fell lol

He became my ult after I watched that one video of Jhope (I think) waking him up and Suga ended up swearing at him. After that (this was the beginning of me learning of BTS) I realized how much he opens himself up to others in an effort to help his fans with their own emotional pains. I really admire him. Not only his desire to help others but his love for music, his passion in general is amazing. I also adore his smile, his blunt and sarcastic humor. He’s one of my favorite rappers I could go on and on. He’s an inspiration to me.

I never anticipated a second ult because of how much I love Suga but oh my goodness I couldn’t imagine not having Yunho as my other ult bias now. He really popped up and was like “You can’t run from me forever” His was an instant “They chose me” kind of situation. I initially thought Seonghwa would be my Ateez bias but nope Yunho was again like “I am here” He is adorable, an energetic ball of sunshine that works too hard for his own good. His goal as an idol is just to make others happy and he 100% does that. He cares so much for his members and others in general, even though he doesn’t like talking about feelings and stuff the members have always said that he is an incredible person. He’s a wonderful dancer, an underrated singer and is just so talented. I love this cutie.

I have a couple that I count as ult biases but the one that I could probably go on the most about is Woodz

I knew about him for a while but I didn't actually get into him until late 2020 when I heard this song



Then I heard him sing this bside live, and I fell in love with his insane vocals and visuals



I found out that he was in X1 and him and my love for Victon got me to watch Produce X 101 where I fell even harder for how hardworking, how funny, how kind and talented he was <333 he is the best big brother to his members in X1. I also love him in Uniq so much where he got to be the little brother but was equally loveable chaotic and amazing



When X1 disbanded, Woodz released 'Equal' and one of the songs I remember the most was 'Noid' where he revealed later that the song was about his feelings after the disbandment and how frustrated he felt



This video was important for my journey as a Moodz also, I cried buckets and buckets watching this early in the morning, It breaks my heart to know that Woodz wanted to be in a group so badly and that he loved all of the members so much but was disappointed two different times and couldn't be in a group. But at the same time I'm so proud of him and his soloist journey and the fact that he gets to create all of the music that he loves




He also has so many people that love him and I'm glad that he always has people that know how great of a person he is!




I love Woodz so much and he deserves the WHOLE ASS WORLD so everyone should go and stream Colorful Trauma!

Joshua - I actually don't remember how I fell for him. It was back in 2018 when I first stanned Seventeen (I had a period where I didn't), so four years ago. lol

TXT Kai - I fell for him bc of his personality and how he can speak six languages fluently. He's just the whole package, a true idol!

Okay my ult is and has been Jonghyun for almost the whole time I’ve been into kpop. Tbh my original impression of him was dude with weird spiky hair because Lucifer was my first Shinee song. But I loved his vocals as well, which made me bias him. But he became my ult when I found out about how he tried to help others with depression and other mental health issues (due to struggling with them himself) and how to tried to help people who are LGBTQ+ be more accepted and feel better about who they are because there’s nothing wrong with them.

The8 who has been my ult bias since I got into kpop 4 (almost 5) years ago. He has always been an inspiration to me, from the way he dresses, his poetry, his art, and how he dances. Ever since I got into kpop and starting stanning Seventeen he has always been my favorite idol in the industry. He does not like to sacrifice his dignity and he will call out bs. He is very wise and gives copious amounts of advice to fans. In 2020, I started dating someone who was toxic and neglectful to me. I'd cry everyday and I started gaining very unhealthy habits. Then during that time, I was scrolling through youtube, and I came across videos of minghao giving out advice and at the time I literally started crying. Now, it kinda seems dramatic but it was what I needed at the time and music/artists have the power to change lives. Also around that time, Fallin' Flower came out and it really helped me a lot. I left that person and I am WAY better now. Throughout these years, I've watched minghao grow and I was able to grow with him. Minghao is getting much more comfortable with himself and much more outspoken. I'm very proud of him for being honest, never being afraid to share with he wasn't feeling happy all the time and even telling how he was feeling through art. He really is a true artist and there's really not many idols like him.
