I definitely understand your fear of failure. When I reach that point, I try to remember that we all failed before we got to where we were today. You never start out a skill being good at it, so it's going to take polishing in order to reach your final goal.

You never start out a skill being good at it, so it's going to take polishing in order to reach your final goal.

You are totally right about it. Sorry for this. I was on a frustration feeling; maybe with some self-deprecation. Taking my forum online is scheduled already. It's a development copy of it, so I still won't start the production one.

I started this project on the hopes of getting a forum made fully to my wishes; but it's also a means of learning, a project interesting enough for me to keep myself going until completion, and thus enabling me to teach myself the necessary skills to both run it and get a living on backend, and maybe also frontend web development. I'm both the teacher and the student, so the road is a bumpy one and it may slow it down.

I have been progressing anyway. When the year started, I set myself the task of beginning my plugin development and publishing it; something that I found scary back then. I published it, and now it's on the fourth release, still on alpha stage. So I'm progressing. Starting the development online site is my next major challenge and the time to do it is very near.
