Seconds before her part, and if it's live, could impede on that. Lots of idols elect to not to "unnecessary" movements if it's seconds before their part.

I was referring to concerts since that's what blackpink have been doing since December. at all of her concerts, Jennie never follows the choreo for her rap part, she's trying to hype up the crowd and get comfortable. "I just feel cheated with all the effort that is (not) being invested from her side." im sorry but have you not seen Jennie at her concerts and at any recent events? shes literally always giving it her all, you can't just watch one performance and then decide that's what she's like all the time because it's simply just not true. I get that you may not be a fan who is invested but all it takes is a look at jennies performance on Inkigayo and mbc last week with kill this love. she was on fire, at all of her concerts, shes on fire, vocally shes always stable. so really are you actually being cheated?

America does not have idols. America just had a show called "American Idol" that produced singers nowhere near idol status. Korean entertainment is extremely different and that's well known. Every agency works towards debuting "the perfect girl group" with zero flaws, who will be a commercial success.

And how many idols are suffering from this kind of mindset? how many idols have been bullied mentally and physically because of this mindset? just because it happened to past idols does not make it right. there are so many idols who have been ruined from always trying to be perfect. we shouldn't be supporting this notion because idols can't be perfect all the time. they aren't robots. the kpop industry is shit and the main reason why its shit is because they expect the people in it to be perfect robots who dont make mistakes. America's industry still has a lot of work to do so the celebrities in it can be happy and healthy mentally, but theyre doing a way better job then what the kpop industry and its fans have to offer lmaoo.

Also, some of the moments you pointed out that were "lazy" were moments she was about to do her part or was doing it. A lot of idols don't do the choreography or change it where they can sing their part easier so I don't understand why she's being criticized for a common practice. Hell, EXID sat there and said they fudge their choreo on their parts sometimes because they forget the moves lmao

Plus, comparing her with Lisa doesn't make any sense because Lisa is the main dancer for a reason she's going to be better and add more flare.
