I personally love it.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy eating with friends and family but it's so peaceful just to go by yourself sometimes

I mean I eat my lunches alone but I tend to not go out to eat alone. Nothing against doing so other than the expense and wait.
So its more of something I do selectively, in which case I’d probably bring someone.

Especially if you go with the people who feel like every second needs to be filled with talking. You can enjoy each other's company in silence

after four years of college I don't get why I was so scared to eat alone in high school and middle school lol. with people's schedules its hard to get a group for lunch sometimes and other times I don't feel like eating in my dorm so it's nice to get out.

It's pretty chill to do and also helped me to get over some social anxiety hurdles

Sometimes I feel like I could do it when I’m in town on my own, but then chicken out, rush through the shops I need to go in and then catch the bus home.

I actually prefer eating alone, I order what I want, can read/watch stuff by myself, enjoy the solitude. I hate when it gets too loud/noisy while eating, lemme enjoy the food by myself please.

I'm insecure about eating in front of others, so I love going to eat alone. It's usually pretty relaxing and I use it as a way to get away from my home life.
