How To Play
The game of Scattergories is relatively simple, however I have made some changes to make this more interesting.
This game will be played in your house's common rooms. In the game of scattergories you and your opponent are given the same list of 12 categories,
A lettered dice is rolled to determine the letter for each round, so let's say the dice lands on “T”. Both houses then have to fill out their list of 12 categories with an answer that begins with “T”. Multiple users from their respective houses can fill out the list, in fact I’d recommend it. A timer will be set for 3 minutes, once the time is up, both houses must hand in their answers even if they didn’t complete it. I will give both teams a few minutes to determine their final answers (as if multiple users from your house are playing you can choose the answer you think is best). Your goal is to not have an answer that matches the other house. You get a point for each answer that doesn’t match the other house. In each game there will be 3 rounds, with the same list of categories for each round, but with a different letter.
There will be 3 rounds:
Slytherin VS Hufflepuff
Ravenclaw VS Gryffindor
The winner of both of those rounds will then face off for the final third round.
Now, here is where I changed it up a bit. I will not be creating the list of categories, you will. I will ask each house to create a list of 12 categories. Do not share them with the other houses, you will come up with these in your house common rooms (DM). You can make these as difficult or as easy as you’d like. What you come up with could give you an upper hand against your opponents, however it could also make it more difficult for your house as well.
Please decide on your 12 categories asap as no house can play until you’ve figured that out and a good time for your team to play this week (this can also be just one player playing for their team as well).
If you are at all confused, please feel free to ask away!
