Do you wear coats in the winter? (2 Viewers)

This might be a very midwest-USA-centric question but I REFUSE to wear winter coats. The last time I owned/wore one was... middle school? Idc what the temperature is, I am not wearing a winter coat, I will be wearing a hoodie. My only exception to this is negative degree weather, then I will wear one.

I don’t really. My coats are more for light breeze weather than actual winter.
I had a double layered parka. And I took the inner lining out so now it’s just a thin piece of fabric which is my default winter coat when I walk my pup.

and yes. I do enjoy complaining about the cold. :) especially when it’s icy outside.
Even my work coat is a spring trench.
I do own a wool coat that I’ve worn maybe 5-7 times.

I would agree coats are a must, but I only wear full on winter coats if I’m going snowboarding usually

once upon a time little ole Nina was a freshy in college and made a dumb

My dorm and classes were on two different campuses and you have to take a bus unless you wanna walk a good 40 minutes.
We were expecting a lot of snow one day and afternoon-night classes were canceled but morning classes were still on.
I wore a hoodie, jeans, and converse = DUMB

The snow had already started by the time I got to my first class. By the time my second class finished the snow was coming down. And you know, while it's snowing it's not really cold so I was fine.
Well . . .
I was waiting at the bus stop and the times on the buses kept getting pushed back. The bus stop had a lot of students waiting. So much snow coming down. I didn't even have a friend to hug and huddle because they were smart and skipped >.>
2 hours pass by. And the bus finally comes.
My converse were soaked and there were no seats on the bus. There's a lot of traffic so there goes another hour and half on the bus in soaking cold clothes. I gave up going to my dorm and get off at my friend's campus. I was shaking for at least 18 hours after that and she said I probably had hypothermia. >.> lesson learned

Yeah I would definitely wear proper clothes if there was a chance I’d be outside for more than like 20 minutes
But usually I’m outside for like 5 max when walking to places so that’s when I don’t bother

How do you survive?! it gets sooooo cold where I live the I have to wear so many layers!
