But I remembered today how as a little kid I thought puke meant to fart
It’s because in Russian pukit(romanized) meant to fart, so it sounded similar to puke. Someone in my school said that a girl was sick and she puked and I said she didn’t because I thought it meant to fart and now looking back I’m like
Eventually I learned what it means and had to educate my brother and sister about it too because they were like me and thought it meant to fart also.

This also reminded me of when my mom sent me to the supermarket to buy culantro (aka recao/Mexican Corriander). I thought my mom meant cilantro and I got her cilantro until my mom corrected me. I had no idea cilantro and culantro are two different things
