Mean moment: Sometimes I wanna dropkick my own fandom.

To each their own, of course, and I'll always be proud of BTS' accomplishments, but YT views have never mattered to me, especially knowing that there are streaming initiatives and everything. It reminds me of how people were mad at Blinks because of rumors that stores and Thailand were streaming D4 in stores and stuff...but there are entire How-To's for ARMY this comeback on how to stream "properly" so every view will be counted on YT. True, maybe some fans like watching the video over and over, but for the most part I find this to be "inorganic" (for a lack of a better word) and just another way for people to brag. In K-Pop, few things are sadder than folks arguing over views.

This isn't to say views aren't important, though, and the exposure definitely helps with gaining new fans and creating more opportunity for opportunity for them -- opportunity derived from genuine interest and acknowledgement of fandom support alike. Sorry I'm in my feelings, I just... Anyway.

I agree. I never cared about Youtube views either. I think it's ridiculous that they'll go to such extreme lengths just to get the views up. The views aren't everything. I hate it when fans take kpop too seriously.

It makes me want to dropkick the fandom too.
