Chapter 1
I was in first bell when an announcement came on about a band playing for us during third period. I rolled my eyes, thinking this was just some shitty band like Jo Gray. They had performed here last year, and they sucked balls. I’d pretended to like them and bought their CD, but once I listened to it, I wanted to kill myself for buying it.
“Jordyn, are you gonna go to the concert today?” my friend Kandece asked excitedly.
“Nah,” I said.
“Oh, come on! I’ll bet the band’s awesome!”
“That’s what you said about Jo Gray.”
“Yeah, but this is different! I think I saw one of the members in the hall this morning. He’s really sweet. His name’s Harry.”
I sighed. “Alright, but if their first song sucks, I’m going back to class.”

When third bell came around, the whole school was told to report to the auditorium for the concert. I laughed at the name on the banner that hung above the stage: One Direction.
“They forgot to finish the name. It should be One Direction: Down.”
“Jordyn, shut up,” Jackie hissed.
Once everyone was situated, the principal came out and told everyone to settle down. “Before I announce this band, I would like to say that they are the #1 boy band in the UK, and they’re new to the US. Please welcome One Direction!”
Everyone clapped and screamed but me.
Then, lights came up on the stage, and a guitar riff started playing. One of the guys in the band came in with the singing.

Don't need make-up,
To cover up,
Being the way that you are is enough…
The band was phenomenal. I could see why the Brits liked them so much; their songs were so catchy!
After the concert, one of the members came up and gave us one final announcement. “There will be a meet and greet out in the corridor. Come out and see us! Don’t be shy!” he said in an adorable Irish accent.
All the students left the auditorium single file, as per the principal’s request, and lined up in front of a table in the hallway. It took a long time, as all 2200 students were in the line, but soon it was finally mine and my friends’ turns.
When I saw the blonde, blue-eyed guy who made the announcement, I froze. He was so stunningly hot! I must’ve been staring at him for a long time, because he eventually said, “Hello, mate. Are you alright?”
“Uh…y-yeah. I-I’m just…you’re so hot!” I stuttered.
The guy laughed. “We get that a lot over in the UK. I’m Niall. What’s your name?”
“Um…J-Jordyn.”
Niall laughed again. “Isn’t that a lad’s name?”
“Yeah, but my name’s spelled with a Y, making it a girl’s name. Um…can I have your number?” Then I caught myself. “No! I mean, one of your CDs! Sorry.” I giggled nervously.
“That’s alright. You can have both if you want.” Niall winked, picked up a CD, and autographed it.
“Thanks,” I said, taking the CD, which was entitled “Up All Night”.
The writing style gets even worse, so I'll spare y'all. lol
