so we really aren't seeing any popular groups that are coming out of the west, all groups that have come out have flopped. so would they do better if they did the things that kpop groups do? for example, auditioning for companies and having them train you for a certain amount of time. tbh I dont rlly know if it would work or not but it's interesting to think about.

I don't think people value the training much in the west.

They kind of have succeed with having a show before debut if you count the most notable groups like One direction, Fifth Harmony, and Little Mix but even then that's a little different.

that's true but I dont really think that there is any group over there who have actually tried training like kpop idols cause whenever I tell people about the idol training system theyre always like "wow for that long? that must of been hard?" I think that if it was kinda explained to them then they would appreciate it a little more.

BSB and NSYNC came from the same guy in Orlando but they didn't really have training or anything like Kpop companies. The marketing definitely was there though.


I think if someone were to try it, it might work at the very least for teens. Maybe not as much adults, but you never know ;) although I feel like so many people would be obnoxious about "they're plastic and not real and manufactured" etc

yeah, that makes sense, I think that one of the main reason why idols train for such a long time is to perfect their dancing but tbh i think it would be interesting to see a group do the same things that kpop artists do but make it more lowkey.

oh yeah, that is true. tbh the gp says that everything that comes out of Hollywood is generic and manufactured. but i agree with you, teens would probably like it.

I kinda disagree, I think you have to have at least some type of star factor to get popular. a lot of celebrities get hate because of lack of talent so i think that some sort of talent has to be there.

To remain successful, absolutely. For one hit wonders you don't really need much other than a good producer/composer
