This is the first writing such an emotional thread, but I want to say that I'm still shocked about this news (but I'm doing okay overall).

Spoiler: Sort of a long story

It began with an email I received from my university Gmail account (I still use that account despite gradating from uni almost 5 years ago). It was a condolence email from the president of the university regarding a student's death. I read it and the name of the student sounded familiar to me, but I didn't say much of it. I'm not the type of person that would jump to conclusions regarding a person's death. Also, I received this email while I was on transit to a doctor's appointment, so I didn't say anything about in public.

A few hours later, my mom, aunt, and I were going to a food bank and my aunt received a Facetime call from my older cousin, who's on vacation. Her eyes were red and she didn't say anything at first. She then revealed that her friend was killed. I put two and two together and I realized condolence email the university community received was my cousin's friend, who's a kindergarten teacher. My mom and I learned about a missing teacher news report from our city from my cousin and one of our neighbors. We had no idea that she was missing until the news of her death appeared.

We ending up watching the 11 PM news to learn more about. All I can say that, I hope they find and arrest the person who killed her. Her family, especially her 3 kids deserves justice for what happened to this sweet woman.

I felt bad for my cousin the most, who learned about this while she is in Costa Rica. Even my mom got emotionally because we were well acquainted. My cousin and I would hang out with her sometimes back then (this was when I was in high school and community college).

From what I heard in the news reports, they have been staying with their aunt (the mother's sister) since Sunday.

Now I am watching the news and they officially declared it was a homicide and the family has an idea who killed her (and my family also knew him).

He used to be so friendly with me and he liked whenever I hanged out with them (saying this makes me realized how creepy it was ). I haven't seen him in years but we apparently graduated at the same university at the same time almost 5 years ago (he graduated for a license *I don't know what kind of license he did* and I did my bachelor's in Communications and Media Studies).

That is if they find him because he has been missing since the news came out. I just hope they find him so justice can be served for the family.

I do have another update. They found her ex-husband in a motel in the Miami area. They are going extradite him to NJ.

There was also an accomplice involved and they haven’t found him.
