So the other day my parents went to distant aunts funeral, and i obv didn't go cause i had work (also the ride would've been 1 and a half hour) and who is this lady that i haven't seen in my life and don't even know her name... But like okay, a sweet thing for my parents to go. So after they come back, i ask them who is this distant aunt noone told me about and haven't seen at family gatherings or weddings. And they tell me some crazy ass family history i can't believe ain't scripted for a TV show. So apparently this woman was the aunt to my dad's cousin. My dad's cousin's mother died when he was really young. So his father needed help raising two young kids and asked her dead wives sister to help, and she did volunteer but she wanted to marry HER DEAD SISTER'S HUSBAND in exchange to helping raise the kids. But the dad was like NAH UH, i wanna marry someone else, and so he did and had a 3rd kid from that woman. So the dead wife's sister decided she can't raise two kids for that man that ain't gonna marry her, so she yeeted the little boy (my dad's cousin, who we are closer to) to stay with the grandparents while she raised the other child, a girl. Also the dad having a new familly decided he wouldn't give his house as a part of inheritance to their older kids, since the kids inherited from their mother's side a house. ALso the sister and the dad never talked after, that's how i never knew of her...
