What's the one book (or more) you read in school that you really liked? (2 Viewers)

Personally, I do like reading (I don't get to do much of it because of school and work), but when it came to books I had to read for school, I actually disliked most of them. So, here are the few I really liked:
- The Catcher in the Rye
- On the Shortness of Life
- Tao Te Ching (also the most confusing one I read)
- The Book of the City of Ladies

What about you all? ^-^
Also, any books you look forward to reading?

P.S.: Any language books that aren't English are welcome too! <3

uhhhh, I think I once read some Barcode Tattoo book that I really liked, and I read the entire trilogy. this was a few years ago tho ^^

I think Lord of the Flies was the only assigned book that enjoyed.

I used sparknotes for all the other books

To Kill a Mockingbird was pretty okay, would’ve been better if we didn’t have to analyze the darn thing

I really liked 1984, the Glass Castle, the Help, and the Great Gatsby.
Hamlet was also nice, but that's because our teacher let us watch the movie instead of reading the script. He said that plays are meant to be watched, not read. God bless him

I have been wanting to read 1984 for months now, it's really sitting on my nightstand, ready to be read along with a pile of other books :'))))
Summer is gonna be a lot of reading

Also, yes, bless your teacher, my teachers made us read literally everything :nosejoo:

Ayeee I really recommend 1984, George Orwell was really good at writing political books. Animal Farm was good too.
What other books have you been meaning to read?

[Tir]

For me, if I can remember that far back into the Dark Ages

• To Kill A Mockingbird
• Bridge to Terabithia
• Hatchet
• Tomorrow When the War Began
• Catcher in the Rye

Wait, books were around all the way back then? I thought it was some stone tablets or something

Ohh there's like 5 books so farrr knowing me I'm gonna add more lmao
But for now it's 1984, The Social Contract by Roussau, one of John Lock's books, a book called Blink, and then a novel called Pachinko!
So a little fiction with some politics and some other randomness lmao ^-^

And Then There Were None
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Fahrenheit 451
Life Of Pi
The Pearl (I’m kinda 50/50 on this one tbh, but I guess I enjoyed it?)

I mean, it wasn’t that good, but I think it had some good elements. I don’t know if I really enjoyed it or not tbh.
