Visiting my grandparents would be nice (1 Viewer)

Being stopped by customs sounds less nice, especially if it’s both on the way there and back. Difficult choice

This is why you invent teleportation

How far away are your grandparents?
Perhaps a different mode of transportation???

Can’t really, I’d be starting in a foreign country (Germany) and getting to Russia (idek if there’s a reasonable way to get there other than flying these days from Germany) and even if there was customs check you anyways, even going by land (got stopped at customs driving to Canada last year, wasn’t fun). Getting back even fewer options considering the Atlantic Ocean kind of stops land transportation ofc.

I wish you safe travels then.

could they possibibly visit you or is that too much work for them given it's russia and all that

Not sure if it would work if they aren’t American citizens, not certain the requirements these days. They also have commitments there, like their garden, so I doubt they would be willing to travel tbh.

hmmm...and also it's not like you can walk freely anytime soon I mean given your CL and all that
but maybe once you're better you can visit them

By that point I’ll be walking, the trip isn’t for a while. But tbh given the relations with Russia and the US it might be very nerve wracking for me to visit at the moment since I’m not good with being asked a lot of questions, even if I’ve done nothing wrong.

hmmm...I guess I don't think going there is a problem but it's the coming back that's the issue...
just don't start stammering and default to speaking russian!!! lol

Idk, they would know I’m a foreigner going in because while I can speak Russian I have an accent and I’m my perfect at it. Whether they care is another question. Going back I got pulled aside without even going to Russia last time, like I mentioned in a previous thread, so I’d be a little surprised it’ll they didn’t look at my passport and go yeah we’ll pull you aside.

I don’t know, I haven’t been in ages. They weren’t picky last time but last time there was no war or anything of that sort.
