im not going to have this discussion cause its just going to put me in a bad mood.
but i stand firm in my belief. don't bring a human into this world if you can't provide for their needs properly.

reminds me of this poem

I'm not against ppl having kids. I'm from the balkan area and ppl all keep pushing me towards marriage and kids ofc. But i can see how much effort and dedication it is. It's easier if you are younger, but i'm already 27.

My mom had 7 siblings and i tell you she doesn't mind me not having a kid. Ofc she would be thrilled for one more grandchild, but she respects my decision. My grandpa was an alcoholic, that's straight up how my mother described him, and he just made kids one after the other and my grandma had to raise them up with the help of the older siblings. Some became priests or doctors and none has gone on a low path in life to have been homeless or alcoholic as their dad. But my mom still tells me that they were poor poor and were made fun of it in their childhood. My youngest uncle as a child even went into my grandparents bed just so they wouldnt make another baby.

She is still grateful for her family, but the scars remain. My grandpa died way before my grandma, it's obvious why... And my grandma had many health problems in her life: heart problems, problems with her feet, her hips etc. I'm not saying it was due to the stress of childbearing and raising them up, but... My other grandma (born in the same year as my mom's mother) who had only two kids is still living with us, at 83 and walking on her own. While my maternal grandma died around 74 years due to a heartattack.

Take on as much as u can handle not just physically, but mentally too.

I mean everyone’s free to do what they want but this woman has an insane amount of descendants I’ll be on the other side of the spectrum with 0, that’s most likely the case (by choice but if I say I know I’ll have 0 inevitably someone will pop up with “youll change your mind when you get older“ so I’ll say most likely)
