What is the school system like?

I think that's the only thing that truly differs from country to country. Except for the fact that higher (university) education is free in most countries (except England). Also, public higher education institutions are much more valued than private ones (as opposed to US standards).

Same in Croatia.
Also, you don't get to pick almost any of your subjects through high school.
You get to pick your high school, though. There is a vast array of different specialised (vocational) high schools and grammar schools.

What is the school system like?

In Greece you start school around the age of 6,5

6 years of elementary school (till 12,5 or so)
3 years of junior high school (from 12,5 till 15,5)
3 years of senior high school (till you become 18 or at least until you finish that year :P It depends on the month you were born XD)

After that you pretty much have exams on your last year of senior high school that will determine whether and which university you'll get into. There are of course private institutions but universities here are free

Because romanian school system is basic
Start at 6-7:
4 years of primary school
4 years of middle school
4 years of highschool
3 years of college usually (sometimes may be 4 or 6)
2 years of master
Etc

Well I’m not good with politics so i will let this for someone who can give a good answer. I only know basics about this

We don’t. But i find it interesting. And some of them are similar. Like latin languages, german languages, slavic languages etc. For example I can understand some italian or spanish but I never studied it or something.

Why would we keep track? You only need to know your own language to function. It's not like Europe is one country.

does your school teach you other languages at a young age or do you get the option to pick languages in high school? because that's how it is over here in the states and tbh it doesn't rlly help you learn the language unless you really get into it.

TL;DR: The UK felt like they give more than they get back. That's why they felt they would be more stable and retain more assets on their own.

Why would we keep track? You only need to know your own language to function. It's not like Europe is one country.

My mom has work in a predominantly German part of Switzerland and so she’s learning German but some other parts are apparently predominantly French? In Canada, you usually just know English or French, maybe the two and that’s about it.
