Being 11 I knew I was now man.
Time for me to grow up my father says.
I ask my wise father how does a boy grow to a man?
"Well son. You must become your own man! Self-sufficient!"
"selffff sufii---what?"
"Self sufficient. Able to provide for yourself. Better start with investments!"
"Investments?" I ask. "What are investments."
"You need to invest in assets dear child. But make sure you don't put them all in one asset. You need to diversify! Own a lot of different kinds of assets."
He misses my puzzlement and continues.
"But be sure to invest in assets you know. Nothing gets a man into more trouble than investing in something he knows nothing about."
He pats my head and sends me to my room, content with the knowledge he'd given wise counsel to his boy.
I run to my room and think.
Hmmm.... what assets can I invest in. What does an 11 year old man know?
Suddenly I have an idea.
I know! I know kpop. Surely there must be assets for me to invest in there!
So I start browsing forums of knowledge like Allkpop and Onehallyu.
I search and search and finally I come across something that catches my 11 year old eye.
In the great halls of OneHallyu I find a place called The Bar.
I browse the thread titles and spot something about assets.

I click and read quickly excited to learn all that I can.
Taking it all in I learn the ways of investment.
The helpful thread gives me advice on what kinds of assets I can get.
The thread points me to a place called Youtube.
This must be the Great Hall of Kpop Assets I think to myself.
I watch video after video and take it all in.
I excitedly start adding to my investments creating list after list.
First a Chaeyeon asset.
Then a Eunha asset.
Then another Chaeyeon asset.
Then a Choa asset.
Then a Yeonwoo asset.
A Seolhyun asset.
On and on into the night I invest in more and more assets, like some Wall Street tycoon.
By morning's light I've invested all I could invest.
Bleary eyed I come to the kitchen phone in hand ready to show my father my portfolio.
"Hey champ! You look a little tired this morning! What did you do stay up all night?"
"I was investing Father! Like you said"
He looks confused as I hand him my phone with "Investments" playlist ready."
As Seolhyun's assets sway across screen I announce proudly.
"Look dad! I'm diversified!"
