For me we had a few types of drills in school (lockdowns, shelter in place, fire drills) but fire drills were the most common ones. The drill did tell us to basically stay with your class and exit the building immediately (in some places it’s different now, but that was it back then). Which was logical, but one time in high school we had an actual alarm go off (someone started a fire in the toilet/bathroom I think, something like that) and it happened while I was returning from lunch (we had multiple lunch periods, so different classes had different lunchtimes. Many students were in class, we were just coming back and some people had started leaving for the next one). So when the alarm went off I was all just like idk what to do. I just went to the nearest exit but I had no chance of finding anyone in my class (yay prosopagnosia) so I just chilled there until they told us we could go back in. But yeah I didn’t really know what I was supposed to do in that case because fire drills were always conveniently when no one was in the halls. It didn’t matter though, but I was a little nervous. Have you had events happen where drills made for it didn’t help you?
